Teche Regional Medical Center Receives Hospital of the Year Award

Teche Regional Medical Center has received the 2015 Hospital of the Year for Respiratory Care. The award was presented by the Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care at the 45th Annual State Educational meeting in Baton Rouge on April 8, 2015.
This award is presented to a facility that has demonstrated and met criteria related to enhancing and promoting the Profession of Respiratory Care along with providing quality patient care and having achieved successful outcomes within the hospital and community.
This award recognized some of the outstanding qualities of Teche Regional’s Respiratory Care Department were the Implementation of Therapist Driven Protocols, Retention Rate, and the Level of Specialty Units that services are provided to. The Mentoring of Students from the community, local Universities, and the Technical Colleges was another unique quality to services offered.

The Department’s Professionalism and Teamwork is evident throughout the facility and community. We are extremely proud to have a Premier Respiratory Department within our hospital,” said Butch Frazier, Teche Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
