Teche Regional Medical Center Named Top Rated Hospital by Patients

July 24, 2015

Teche Regional Medical Center was recently recognized in the February 2015 issue of New Orleans Magazine as one of the top rated hospitals by patients.

Other than the patients themselves there’s no more interested source in the quality of hospitals than Medicare, which pays the expenses for many of them. Medicare routinely surveys patients about their hospital stay and the results are very revealing.

Using the agency’s data, New Orleans Magazine compiled a list of those hospitals within the region that received a positive response from at least 50 percent of the patients surveyed when asked if they would “definitely recommend the hospital.” Teche Regional Medical Center was ranked one of the top-rated Louisiana hospitals within a 100-mile radius of New Orleans, excluding Baton Rouge.

“Teche Regional was awarded this honor for its commitment to excellence in patient care. Patient satisfaction continues to be a main focus and we will continue to strive to be the very best health care provider in South Louisiana. Our vision is to be the hospital of choice where patients want to come for healthcare, physicians want to practice, and employees want to work,” said Butch Frazier, CEO.
